Meet Information

Twice a year the SCRR hosts a meet for the live steam hobby. Participants come from across the country to spend time for several days showing off their train equipment and renewing old friendships. The tracks are prepared in advance to make the time as trouble free as possible. Some come to show off equipment for sale and others come to find new equipment. But most come to run trains and they do it up to 18 hours a day!

September is “Meet Month”

People arrive starting on the 18th but the meet does not officially begin until the 23rd. The meet includes food service and fellowship. Some folks bring trailers some motorcoachs and some tents but many choose motels in Hudson. Early arrivals have to fend for themselves for their meals but they are welcome to make use of the facilities that we do have such as grills, refrigeration and shelter. There are always activities and projects that you can take part in or you can spend your time running day and night! Many people who arrive early come to help maintain the site and improve it. Trains are used to do actual work moving block, bricks, rail, tree cuttings and gravel. Join us for the fun!

The elevated track which has the 2.5”, 3.5” and  4.75” gauge track is not available for this fall meet.
